• About Ben Pu

    Ben Pu is an alumnus of the Cornell University computer science program. While earning his BS, he served as a teaching assistant for first, second, and third year courses on networks and systems. Since his graduation, Ben Pu has built practical experience as a programmer producing, adjusting, and maintaining predictive algorithms within programs designed to respond to external data streams. Working in fast-paced highly-demanding environments, he has extensive experience delivering fixes with minimal downtime. Aside from his expertise in programming, he has significant experience building servers and computers and reviewing hardware and components.

    In addition to his work as a programmer, Ben Pu supports a number of advocacy groups and nonprofits which promote computer literacy and human rights. He contributes to the Center for Democracy and Technology, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting privacy and freedom of expression and opposing government surveillance. He also supports the Electronic Frontiers Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting open source software, privacy, and innovation on the internet, as well as the Linux Foundation and the Hour of Code.

    In his spare time, Mr. Pu enjoys listening to classical music. He frequently attends concerts at the New England Conservatory and enjoys pieces composed by Beethoven, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Chopin.
